The Seamsfine team were invited to William Morris' house at Kelmscott Manor, Oxfordshire for the release of Morris & Co's most recent fabric and wallpaper collection. William Morris' was famously quoted saying "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful", and to experience his own home decorated with his busy yet elegant designs was fantastic. The new range, titled 'Melsetter', is made up of a mixture of earthy greens and browns lifted by vibrant warm oranges and reds, some heavy embroidery perfect for large dining room curtains and also more minimalistic pieces such as lemons fit for kitchen blinds making it a versatile range. A personal favourite print involved owls with beautiful fresh blues and terracotta over a plain cream background which I could see giving a fun but elegant touch to a playroom. Come and visit us to view the new collection and we hope you love it as much as we do.
